Get some 320 grit sand paper, cut it into strips about the same width as the con rod journal and wrap it around the so the ends over lap. Then get some cloths line and wrap it around the sand paper twice. Then pull the string back and forth and sand down the journal for 30 seconds. Repeat with 600 and then 800 until it's smooth. If their are gouges they wont come out. If their is material transfer from the bearing to the con rod journal due to heat and impact this method will remove them and provide a clean crank. If you indeed have gouges then you must have the con rod journal machined undersized and use an over size con rold bearing. This is not a bog deal and should cost about $50.
